Rerolling to the old drivers fixed the problem but i don't get a signal when booting with displayport connected.
I just yolo express installed these drivers after reading this thread and I didn't have any issues. That saved my day! If you get stuck in a loop, I booted into Safe Mode, went to my driver settings and rolled it back, booted back up! When the BSODs started (julyish), I called HP as the laptop was under warrantee at the time, and arranged to fix the overheating as well as to look at anything else
