Re-installed Windows 10, tried it again but this time chose "Clean Install". Fixed this by running software to remove the drivers completely in Safe Mode, then installing driver 362.00 i5 4690K, Windows 8.1, GTX 970. How do I fix this? EDIT. I generally never do but i was heading out for a run, came back to mayhem. Running a 980 Ti (EVGA), 6600k, z170-a and 3 ssd setup for anyone wondering. It wasn't lost its still on my harddrive and appears to be working but it was removed from the controll panel installed programs things.
Now everything is merry again. Wtf was NVIDIA thinking????? Gonna switch to a 7200/10000 rpm or an SSD (if I can find $500 for a 1tB SSD!) - Switched to 500 gB Samsung 840 series SSD - WOW!!! Please try the request again.
Me too. I nearly punched my 970 in half. Shut the PC off, disconnected my secondary monitor, booted it up and it works now. Tried to install the driver and it screwed up my computer to the point that I had to restore my computer to a previous restore point.

This is an honor. CPU Came with the laptop (i7 of some sort) Motherboard Pretty sure that it has one, but haven't checked inside the case! Restart your PC and go about your business. If any screen is connected to the computer using HDMI the problem occurs (when updated using Express Install).

Had to restart my computer and when it rebooted my mouse cursor disappeared.
