Worked excellently for me too. Did the rest of the kb's by doing the same routine, then win update was working again [yay!!] and normal hot restarts were working normally. If you do see it, then it may mean that it has been installed or that the installation is corrupted.

This is a piece of crap. I'm back to being able to use the updater and install everything needed. My recommendation: Don't try other approaches; just install the factory image again and follow the sequence of steps PRECISELY. Thanks for the post!
